Background Information
This scoping literature review is conducted on the most critical issue of extreme heats or heatwaves that extremely against human health. An intense greenhouse gas emissions or unfavourable environmental events have been causing to the issue of heatwaves, which is a more frequent global warming around the world. Global warming negatively effects on environmental sustainability by increasing temperature and eventually survival of the people and living things. Heat-related health issues have not only made the survival of the people difficult, but these have resulted to high mortality (Mitchell et al., 2016). It is essential to find out effective interventions or solutions that make survival easier for the peoplein reducing heat-related health effects among residential population. Indoor cooling interventions/solutions are useful to deal with extreme heats that help people to cope with heat-related health issues (Lowe, Ebi and Forsberg, 2011). This study will purpose to identify effective or commonly preferred to explore current indoor cooling interventions as an adaptation ofand their effectiveness in reducing heat-related health risk.

Anthropocentric activities in the environment have been elevating emission of greenhouse gases that eventually causes to global warming around the world (Mitchell et al., 2016). Environmental degradation due to extreme heats results in severe climate change.This elevates issue of extreme heat or heatwaves that against easy survival of living beings or humans on the earth (Owen et al., 2012). In evidence of this, a study by Dunne (2019) has reflected that heatwave in Europe in July 2019 turned “much more extreme” in contrast to the previous years’ record. It is because extreme heats or heatwaves causes to heat-related health issues that essential to be taken seriously for the aspect of survivability, and thus, an adaptation of effective interventions is quite essential (Lowe, Ebi and Forsberg, 2011). The critical consequences of the issue of heat waves or extreme heat on the health aspect induce my interests to review the indoor cooling solutions that contribute to coping with heat-related health issues. Overall, this study is chosen to be conducted to gain comprehensive knowledge of indoor cooling interventions to lessen extreme heats effect on the people health.
Aim and Objectives
Aim of this scoping literature review is to critically explore different or existing indoor inter cooling interventions as an adaptation of heat-related health risk. This project aim will and reveal to understand the effectiveness of existing indoor cooling interventions in coping with extreme heats. The objectives of this project are as follow:
- To review whether events or greenhouse emission due to anthropocentric activities to gain knowledge of the issue of heatwaves
- To identify existing indoor cooling interventions for the issues of heatwaves or heat-related health risk
- To review understand the usefulness effectiveness of existing indoor cooling interventions to cope with extreme heats
- To explore the barriers and challenges in implementing the interventions

Methods or Implementation Strategies
Scoping literature method will be followed to conducted critical and in-depth research on the subject of indoor cooling interventionsto address the objectives of this study. According to Jesson (2011), scoping literature review is defined as a method of reviewing existing studies in a comprehensive manner for mapping literature in particular of the chosen research subject and related objectives and questions. This method is chosen because it aids to gain evidence-based conceptual knowledge based on the critique of various studies.
This is a secondary data collection method within which conceptual and practical knowledge of indoor cooling intervention will be extensively gained and the way it leads to coping with heat-related health risk. Within this secondary data collection, the sequential process will be followed to conduct a scoping literature review. The first step in scooping literature review will be searching and screening of the pertinent studies through using related or relevant keywords. The university library database and other online library databases along with google scholar will be used to access existing studies for the scooping literature review Inclusion criteria will be used to extract data in alignment to the research aim and objectives from the comprehensively reviewed existing studies or papers. Later on, data analysis and synthesis will be executed and final write-up of the project to answer the research question. Analysis of the data collects through scoping literature review will be analysed using thematic analysis. This data analysis method in secondary data collection method gives scope to present findings in the comprehensive and critique way in pertaining to the identified themes (Guest, MacQueen and Namey, 2011). The objectives and questions will be taken as based under thematic analysis to provide pertinent data to address the research aim.
Resources Required
In order to accomplish the research study in a successful way, a range of resources will be required. As the research study is conducted based on secondary data, the most important source that will be required will be the access to the library databases of GU library. From the library, the most important resources that will be useful will include scholarly articles and academic textbooks. The other resources required will be the computer system, modem and internet that will be required for conducting the research. Stationary and papers and printer will also be important resources that will be required for the final write of the final research project.
