These are only examples of the possible areas to study. Please do not focus on delirium or depression because these will be addressed in assignment 2. Students are to analyse the research literature as it relates to dementia and the subject area, along with the application to your practice and the implications as a health professional.
The assignment will need to introduce dementia and the area of study including its significance. Students will utilise the research literature in the area to formulate an essay. Please refer to the essay guidelines provided. This is not a literature review but an essay using the literature on a subject area related to dementia. It should contain an introduction, body of work and a conclusion and be appropriately referenced. This assignment is required to demonstrate an understanding of evidence based practice on one aspect of dementia and the implications to professional practice. The incorporation of other relevant materials and literature will extend the student’s learning and add depth to the assignment. Presentation of Assignment 1 The essay needs to be presented in academic style and be referenced using APA7. There should be a clear introduction, a substantive body of work in the area with references to the literature, and a conclusion highlighting the main points of the essay. A title page with the student’s name, ID number, topic code, topic title, assignment title, assignment number, contact details and the date is required. The assignment must be in a suitable font and size of font. It can be single or double line-spaced. The assignment is required to be submitted by the due date.
