I am working towards completing this goal by finishing my 3-day induction period which is carried out by a team leader and completing my NISCC registration. I have already completed my manual handling ahead of my 3-day induction. During the induction period it is important for me to take notes and ask questions if something is not clear because I need to educate myself of the specific of my job role and what its intakes to ensure I can provide the best quality of care for service users. I will take this time to thoroughly read policies, procedures, and care plans to ensure that I understand them before beginning my shift official day of work experience.

My goals links to theme 5 ‘Professional values attitudes and behaviours in health and social care’ because during my 3-day induction I am focusing on learning the skills that need to carry out routine tasks for service users and I am potentially trying to prevent any barriers by asking questions and trying to plan for potential areas where I may make mistakes.
