Consumer advocate groups, contemporary models of practice (such as recovery-oriented practice and trauma-informed care) can be used and for example recovery principles may support the notion of not using coercive practices, etc.
You need to make sure you read the rubric carefully before starting to plan the assessment.
You should access relevant government documents to support your discussion- especially as it relates to government policy (e.g. National initiatives to reduce seclusion and restraint/international policy (e.g. UN human rights policy of people who experience mental illness). You should look for the original sources linked to the content in the web-page or fact sheet. Your best sources are the primary evidence-based literature.
You can use textbooks but remember they are not original sources- they are useful to gain a grasp of the issues and find relevant literature from the reference list at the end of chapters.
Ideally, your reference list may contain 2-3 government sources, 2-3 textbooks and the remainder of the 20 references 2000 words) are from original peer-reviewed research literature.
You can start by breaking down each point in your topic and then develop your responses to those points. From there you should be able to link the two so that it flows and reads smoothly.
